Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: March 8, 2026
LEGAL NOTICE:These terms constitute a forensic-grade agreement between TaskVerified and all users. By entering the workspace, you acknowledge our role as a neutral ledger and the finality of our audit trails.

1. The SaaS Ledger Model

TaskVerified is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that operates exclusively as a neutral system of record (the "Ledger"). We follow a "Bring Your Own Freelancer" (BYOF) philosophy, providing professional infrastructure for existing high-trust relationships. We are not a marketplace, agency, or employer-of-record. TaskVerified does not assume responsibility for tax withholding, employment law compliance, or healthcare benefits; these remain the sole responsibility of the transacting parties.

2. Payment Neutrality (Not Escrow)

TaskVerified does not handle, process, or hold funds. All payments occur manually and directly between the Employer and the Freelancer. Our platform serves strictly as a verification protocol where both parties confirm payment actions via our 5-stage handshake. We do not act as an escrow agent, financial intermediary, or payment processor. Verification hashes (SHA-256) are generated for each transaction to provide forensic proof of the handshake events.

3. Intellectual Property (IP) Transfer

Intellectual Property rights for deliverables transfer from the Freelancer to the Employer only upon "Confirmed Payment" (Stage 5 of the handshake). TaskVerified provides the timestamped audit trail and forensic proof of this event. Any disputes regarding pre-existing IP or moral rights must be governed by the direct contract between the parties.

4. The Dispute Protocol & "Evidence Packets"

In the event of a disagreement, TaskVerified provides a structured 5-day Dispute Grace Period. During this time, the platform acts as a "Neutral Witness" by preserving frozen snapshots of the audit trail. Users can generate an "Evidence Packet"—a forensic-grade export containing chat logs, file versions, specification changes, and audit trails. TaskVerified does not provide manual mediation; we expect users to resolve disputes via external legal or banking reviews using these forensic exports.

5. "The Robot PM" & Automated Enforcement

Employers may enable "The Robot PM"—an automated success criteria tool. This system enforces project-specific rules (e.g., file type restrictions, minimum word counts, mandatory attachments). Submissions that fail to meet these rules are rejected instantly by the protocol. Users acknowledge that these are objective system enforcements based on employer-defined parameters.

6. Security & The "2-Strike System"

We enforce a high-integrity workspace. Attempting to upload malware, bypassing "The Identity Edit Lock," or engaging in fraudulent forensic tampering triggers our Automated Strike System:

[1]Strike 1: Immediate account flag and final warning. Temporary upload restrictions may apply.
[2]Strike 2: Permanent platform termination. All active data is moved to a 90-day hibernation state followed by a mandatory 180-day compliance hold for audit logs before hard deletion.

7. Sovereign Storage & Liability

While we provide temporary secure storage via Cloudflare R2, our "Sovereign Storage" feature allows archival to your Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Once data is transferred to your private storage, TaskVerified explicitly disclaims all liability for data loss, breach, or corruption occurring outside of our direct environment, to the maximum extent permitted by Indian Law and our implementation protocols.

8. AI Tools & Contamination Intelligence

TaskVerified integrates third-party proprietary verification partners to power its Contamination Intelligence Protocol (CIP) for plagiarism detection and authenticity scoring. While these tools provide indicators of work origin, they serve as aids for employer review. TaskVerified does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of scores and maintains that the final judgment of work acceptance rests with the Employer.

9. Confidentiality & Private Workspace

TaskVerified is a private-by-default workspace. While we provide high-trust architecture, users are responsible for executing their own Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Platform data (deliverables, chat logs, and specs) is treated as confidential between the transacting parties. TaskVerified only accesses this data for system maintenance, automated "Robot PM" enforcement, or when specifically requested during a dispute evidence export.

10. Subscriptions & "Pay to Stay" Data Retention

Use of advanced protocols (The Robot PM, Sovereign Storage Archival, Forensic Evidence Exports) is subject to TaskVerified's subscription tiers. We operate a "Pay to Stay" data model:

[1]Active Subscribers: Enjoy "Data Immortality"—all project files and audit trails are preserved indefinitely as long as a subscription is maintained.
[2]Trial & Free Users: Inactive or cancelled trial accounts are subject to an automated 7-day data scrub. All files and project metadata are purged 7 days after the trial expires or is cancelled.
[3]Lapsed Paid Accounts: Upon cancellation of a paid tier, data enters a 90-day "Hibernation" period. If no subscription is restored, storage is purged. Audit logs are preserved for an additional 180 days for legal compliance.

11. Task Lifecycle & Cancellation

Tasks may be cancelled by mutual agreement or according to the direct contract between the parties. TaskVerified records "Force Approve" or "Cancellation" actions as final system events. We explicitly disclaim liability for "Kill Fees" or payment obligations resulting from cancelled tasks; such financial reconciliations must occur directly between the Employer and Freelancer.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any legal actions or proceedings arising from these Terms or the use of TaskVerified shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Varanasi, India.
